1. Who we are
Handyman Tom is a trading name of FMS Exceptional Maintenance Limited, a company registered in Ireland (CRO 644629, VAT IE3599799DH), registered office 80 Newtown View, Marsh Road, Drogheda, Co. Louth, A92 NV9F. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
2. What we collect
This website has no contact forms and does not ask you for any information. We only receive personal data when you contact us yourself by WhatsApp, phone or email. That can include:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- the address where the work is needed;
- photos and details of the job you send us;
- anything else you choose to tell us in your messages.
We never ask for card or bank details by WhatsApp or email.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote (steps you asked for before a contract).
- To carry out the work and stay in touch about it (performance of our contract with you).
- To issue invoices and keep accounting records (legal obligation under Irish tax law).
We do not use your data for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell or rent it.
4. Who else sees it
Only the services we need to run the business: Google (email), WhatsApp / Meta (messages), our website host Hostinger, and our accountant. Some of these providers may process data outside the EU under the standard safeguards required by GDPR.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into a job are deleted within 12 months. If we do work for you, invoices and job records are kept for 6 years, as required by Irish tax law, and then deleted.
6. Cookies and this website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind, and loads nothing from third parties. Our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time for security purposes.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or get a copy of it. Email us at info@handymantom.ie and we'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
